Our George M. O’Brien Cooperative Research Center is looking for undergraduate students interested in exploring cutting-edge basic, translational and clinical research questions in benign urologic disease, specifically benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and male lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). This opportunity provides a $4000 stipend and up to $700 travel expenses. The start and end dates for this 8-week, full time program is flexible but must be approved by the faculty mentor. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2022.

The program is administered jointly by the Department of Urology and the Department of Pharmacology & Chemical Biology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (UPSOM). Interested applicants should apply via the UPSOM Summer Undergraduate Research web site (http://somgrad.pitt.edu/programs/summer-research/summer-undergraduate-research-program) and indicate Pharmacology & Chemical Biology as their program of interest.
